Weight Watchers Magazine continues to hold the title of the UKs biggest selling slimming magazine, after experiencing an incredibly strong 8.6% increase over the last six months.* We’ve also increased our listings in over 600 Co-op and Somerfield stores. October 2009 will see a re-launch for Weight Watchers Magazine: space, light and a more contemporary feel is the overarching theme. Food will still be the main focus, with the much-loved menu plan returning in an upgraded style, giving readers more choice and more recipes every issue. Fashion, beauty, health and travel will complete the mix, with a strong focus on celebrating success.
Healthy for Men magazine has also experienced a significant rise in circulation to 66,753 (Jan-Jun 09), up 6.5% from Jul-Dec 08.* This is no mean feat, considering the men’s lifestyle sector experienced an overall drop of 4.7% on the first half of 2008. The ‘brother’ publication to the highly successful Healthy – the UK’s best-selling women’s health magazine – is sold exclusively in Holland & Barrett and GNC stores, and still retails for a healthy 75p. Now hot on the heels of rival title Men's Fitness, the 60-page title features aspirational but achievable sports and fitness goals, with a strong emphasis on sport nutrition to support the GNC brand; and advice delivered in a straightforward, intelligent and informative way, cutting through the confusion and contradiction of the health-and-fitness world.
River are also pleased to announce we’ve been contracted to re-launch Gartmore’s digital title Investment Perspective. After just one digital issue, the new website – enriched with video and audio segments, microsites and weblinks – has welcomed 200% extra visitors. The site encourages readers to interact fully by commenting on articles, posting questions and sharing information.
