The Co-operative Travel appoints River to manage creative and advertising for cruise magazine
River is delighted to expand its longstanding relationship with The Co-operative by winning the creative and advertising sales contract for Sailaway magazine from The Co-operative Travel Trading Group (CTTG).
Sailaway is an inspirational cruise title, mailed three times a year to customers who have booked cruise holidays with The Co-operative Travel. Through an extensive re-launch involving a complete new look and content strategy, Sailaway is tasked with deepening customers’ engagement with the world of cruising, increasing brand loyalty, and ultimately driving sales through The Co-operative Travel’s network of high street travel agents across the UK.
The new look magazine will launch at the end of January 2010, featuring the very latest ship reviews, extended destination pieces, first person accounts, and a Life Onboard series focusing on some of the most interesting and unique features of the modern cruise experience from spas, to zip-wires, to lectures and cookery master classes.
River has been appointed to oversee content generation, design and advertising sales for the title, alongside their existing work on The Co-operative Traveller. River have worked on Traveller for over three years to create a high quality travel magazine which profiles the destinations, holidays and travel experiences available from The Co-operative Travel. Traveller consistently entices readers to book holidays, generating strong commercial returns for CTTG. Traveller and Sailaway will now work together as part of an integrated customer communication strategy.
Joanne Wilson, Retail Marketing Manager at CTTG commented, "I am really pleased that River is working with us to help us develop Sailaway into a premium publication that works as effectively as Traveller to achieve our retail marketing goals from the cruise sector”.
