Group Promotions Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Promotions Manager to join our expanding company in our lovely Marble Arch office. The Group Promotions Manager manages the promotional content across all publications, as such requires the ability to develop excellent working relationships with our teams and clients and build a good base of supplier contacts.

Your Responsibilities

  • Achieve the desired number, level and variety of competitions, giveaways and reader offers across the River portfolio
  • Look after the day to day relationship with PR companies across the River portfolio
  • Develop innovative ways in which River can develop additional revenue from existing accounts and new partnerships
  • Ensure all promotions are sourced, monitored from inception to conclusion
  • Ensure that mail handling houses are operating efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure that all ISP regulations and GDPR data regulations are followed in all magazines
  • Keep up to date with new rulings and adjust regulations in each title accordingly
  • Liaise with relevant Publisher / Editor to develop an appropriate promotional structure for each magazine
  • Coordinate an appropriate schedule for production of promotional pages with relevant production editor
  • Ensure that relevant Publisher and Client are updated with response rates and changes to promotional strategy
  • Generate fresh approaches to promotional strategy in-order to maintain a good customer response
  • Liaise with clients as necessary
  • Develop a good base of supplier contacts across all relevant sectors
  • Ensure that all pages are accurately checked and have been approved by promoters
  • Ensure that all promoters fulfil their duties towards winners promptly and efficiently
  • Contribute to all River new business pitches where necessary
  • Report response rates and engagement levels on a quarterly basis to the River board
  • Work within set budgets for each magazine and report costs (cost savings) on a quarterly basis

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience of delivering the above requirements in a similar position within the industry
  • Driven to and experience of exceeding client expectations
  • Strong understanding of analytics and measurement
  • Experienced in consistently delivering quality competitions, giveaways and reader offers, that aid revenue targets
  • Resourceful with a proactive approach
  • Ability to network, build rapport and relationships internally and externally
  • Thrives in working in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, time management, communication and stakeholder management skills essential
