She will now join the other FIPP board members in a bid to help shape the future of the media.

Nicola says she is excited to join such an ‘illustrious’ group of fellow media elites at such an important time for the industry.

She said: “Global media is ever changing in-line with consumer needs, and media owners need to change with them.

“FIPP represents global media owners by holding up a lens to the industry, whilst offering innovative thinking and support, and facilitating knowledge-sharing across territories.

“And who would not want to be part of such an illustrious group of global CEOs? I’m looking forward to making a positive contribution to shaping the media of the future.”

FIPP exists to help its members develop better strategies and build better businesses by identifying and communicating emerging trends and sharing knowledge.

James Hewes, FIPP CEO, says Nicola has all of the credentials to offer tremendous insight.

He said: “FIPP is constantly looking for strong, independent, committed individuals to help us shape the future of the media industry.

“Nicola Murphy’s commitment to the industry and to fostering new talent made it only natural that we ask her to join the FIPP Board. The River Group is one of the largest independent content agencies in the world and is a regular winner of FIPP’s Rising Stars Award.

“We are looking forward to her valuable contributions in the years to come and are delighted to welcome her to the group.“

The news comes at an exciting time for The River Group.

The content marketing agency, which is based in Marble Arch, is celebrating its 25-year anniversary as it continues to produce industry-leading campaigns for 22 different brands – including Holland & Barrett, Co-op, Superdrug and WW.
