Multi-channel content marketing agency, The River Group, together with its PR and communications agency, Maven, are pleased to announce that they’re working with The Big Issue Foundation to support vital fundraising initiatives.
Demand for health, housing, and financial support has been high during Covid-19 lockdown with all of the Big Issue vendors currently having no source of income.
To help raise vital funds, The Big Issue Foundation is launching two new virtual initiatives – their first ever BIG Virtual Quiz Night and the inaugural BIG Sleep In. River and Maven is using its content marketing and PR expertise to raise awareness, drive support and deliver critically needed donations for both of them.
Nicola Murphy, The River Group CEO says:
“Covid-19 has pushed too many charities into crisis. Their planned fundraisers have had to be cancelled and donations have been in steep decline. I’m proud that we’re able to offer our support to the Big Issue Foundation’s new fundraising efforts and we’ll use all our marketing and PR knowledge to deliver for them.”
Stephen Robertson, The Big Issue Foundation CEO says:
“Over the phone and digitally, we’re continuing to deliver expert information, advice and guidance to enable vendors to access benefits, foodbank vouchers and any other type of urgent financial and emotional support that they require during Covid-19. Without these fundraising efforts, it’ll be impossible to continue to offer these services.”
